Happy is his lot among the upper and lower. It is written about him, \u201cHappy are you, O land, whose king is free,\u201d who raises his head high to clarify matters and is not afraid. One who is free says what he wishes and is not afraid. \u201cYour king\u201d is the author of the Torah, the author of the wisdom. When the friends would see Rabbi Shimon they would run after him and say, \u201cThey shall walk after the Lord, who shall roar like a lion.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>408) It is written, \u201cAnd it shall come to pass that from new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to bow before Me, says the Lord.\u201d Why are they measured equally in the verse? It all amounts to one degree, one mating with the other. The Sabbath day,&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, mates with the month,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. The joy of one in the other is absent because they are not mating, unless when the holy&nbsp;<em>Atik<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Keter<\/em>, is revealed over them, and then it is joy for all. It is written, \u201cA psalm, a song for the Sabbath day.\u201d \u201cFor the Sabbath day means&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, who is a praise that the Creator praises. At that time there is joy and&nbsp;<em>Neshama<\/em>&nbsp;[soul] is added, since&nbsp;<em>Atik<\/em>&nbsp;is revealed and the&nbsp;<em>Zivug<\/em>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;occurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>409) So it is in the new moon, in the beginning of the month, when the sun,&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, illuminates to her with the joy of the light of&nbsp;<em>Atik<\/em>, above. This is why the new month offering is above, so that all will be perfumed and there will be joy in the world.
