141) \u201cBlessed be the name of the Lord.\u201d He is blessed means His beginning is hard and His end is soft, since Mevorach<\/em> [blessed] has the letters of Mem<\/em>–Bet<\/em> and Reish<\/em>–Chaf<\/em> [the spelling of Rach<\/em> (\u201csoft\u201d)].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mem<\/em>–Bet<\/em> is hard, Din<\/em>, like the beginning of the year. It is Mem<\/em>–Bet<\/em> because the world was created in Mem<\/em>–Bet<\/em> (42) letters, meaning in Lamed<\/em>–Bet<\/em> (32) Elokim<\/em>, and in ten utterances, which are Mem<\/em>–Bet<\/em> [42].
