{"id":16152,"date":"2026-01-22T15:28:27","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T15:28:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.kabbalah.info\/?post_type=book&#038;p=16152"},"modified":"2026-01-22T15:28:27","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T15:28:27","slug":"correct-the-aim","status":"publish","type":"book","link":"https:\/\/www.kabbalah.info\/en\/correct-the-aim\/","title":{"rendered":"Correct the Aim"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Q: You often use the term, \u201caim.\u201d Which should I prefer when the aim contradicts the&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A:<\/strong>&nbsp;A&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>&nbsp;is a correction of man\u2019s inner intentions, which makes the phrasing of the question incorrect. We need not correct anything but the aim, meaning our intent to delight ourselves alone, the aim for ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Man\u2019s nature is not to take anybody else into consideration, and to work only for himself. That is man\u2019s essence. Our only duty is to alter that nature, and that is the only thing that we can call \u201ccorrection.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There can be no contradiction between a&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>&nbsp;and an aim. The&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>&nbsp;is a gradual process of correction of the aim, from \u201cfor me,\u201d to \u201dfor the Creator.\u201d Man must correct that aim at all cost. The mechanical acts that a person performs in this world, which are called&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>, are not spiritual&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>, but customs whose actual spiritual meaning is unintelligible to us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Q: You often use the term, \u201caim.\u201d Which should I prefer when the aim contradicts the&nbsp;Mitzva?
