It is said that an act with no intent is like a body without a soul, and therefore it is regarded as a \u201cdead\u201d act \u2013 denied of the spiritual intent \u201cfor the Creator.\u201d But the aim comes gradually, according to one\u2019s progress in the study of Kabbalah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wisdom of Kabbalah is about intents, about how to turn one\u2019s heart to the Upper World. If a person begins studies and cannot add the right intent \u201cfor the Creator,\u201d that time is called \u201cnot for Her name,\u201d not for the Creator, meaning that at that time the student\u2019s actions are all for self.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if a person does nothing in order to develop one\u2019s aims, then the person is not even working \u201cnot for Her name,\u201d but is simply performing a lifeless act. However, the person should not stop doing it, because at some point the aim \u201cnot for Her name\u201d will come, and \u201dfor Her name\u201d will follow.
