Then at some point they disappeared. Why?<\/strong><br><strong>A:\u00a0<\/strong>Because Rabbi Akiva\u2019s disciples\u2019 spiritual downfall from the level of \u201cLove thy neighbour as thyself\u201d caused the entire Jewish people to fall and led to the ruin of the Temple. From that moment on, the connection between the spiritual world and ours ceased to exist and, as Baal HaSulam says, \u201can iron wall has been erected between Israel and Kabbalah.\u201d<br>However, all this describes falling from the level of the 2ndTemple\u00a0<em>(MochinDeNeshama<\/em>). Before that, there was the ruin of the 1stTemple, a fall from the level of\u00a0<em>MochinDeHaya<\/em>. At that time, all prophets vanished, since a prophet\u2019s level is\u00a0<em>Haya<\/em>\u00a0if he says \u201cI saw,\u201d and\u00a0<em>Neshama<\/em>\u00a0if he says, \u201cI heard.\u201d<br>In addition, to be able to interpret a prophecy, one must be on a certain level of spiritual attainment. A prophet is not a fortune teller who tells you your future. Rather, he explains to you what essential corrections you can make, even without seeing them. And if you can\u2019t make any corrections, then a prophet will not appear.
