It is not when the animals went, but rather those three spirits, three names: EKYEH, HaVaYaH, ADNI. It is written about them, “When those went, these went,” since when they sparkle and shine, those upper and lower animals walk, and when those stand, they stand, when they are in one connection and everyone stands in a whisper. At that time, the three spirits become one, the three names become one, and the Creator prides Himself in pride over all.

452. “And when they rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.” Upon the departure of the animals—the upper spirits EKYEH and HaVaYaH—from over the earth, Malchut, meaning when the upper animals depart from operating on the bottom spirit, ADNI, those Ophanim depart with the animals, to show that it is all one body without separation from them.

453. The spirit lives in the Ophanim. The desire of that animal is in the Ophanim, since “spirit” comes from the word “desire,” although the desire is in the upper animals, there is a great desire in these Ophanim. They are three: two revealed and one concealed. They do a deed that pleases and brings contentment to that animal, as it is written, “Their actions were like Tarshish,” like Trei Shesh [two times six], right and left, which are two of these six. This is why it is written “like,” like their wheel [Ophan].

There are three phases in the unification of the three spirits EKYEH, HaVaYaH, ADNI:

1. When they shine and emerge each in its own phase. The upper ones, EKYEH and HaVaYaH, under the governance of Hassadim, and the lower one, ADNI, in illumination of Hochma. This is why it is written, “When those went,” those three spirits, since when the three spirits sparkle and shine and exit, and upper and lower animals walk, and each one walks and shines according to its way: The upper ones, EKYEH and HaVaYaH, shine in the governance of Hassadim, and the lower one, ADNI, shines in the governance of Hochma.

2. When the three spirits connect and become one. They shine in one light, where they all shine in Hochma and Hassadim together, like the middle line, which contains Hochma and Hassadim and does not lean to Hochma or to Hassadim, but shines with a light to the nations that contains them together.

It is written, “And when those stood, these stood,” when they are in one connection, and are all in a whisper, in a state of VAK of Hochma. At that time, the three spirits become one, and the three names become one, where all three spirits shine in one light, and the Creator, the middle line, prides Himself over all of them, when all operate in the manner of His illumination, leaning neither to the right nor to the left.

3. When two spirits, EKYEH and HaVaYaH, depart from the bottom spirit, ADNI, departing from the illumination of Hochma that shines in Malchut, but shining in Hassadim that are covered from Hochma. It is written, “And when the animals were lifted above the earth, the wheels were lifted.” When the animals that are the upper spirits EKYEH and HaVaYaH depart from serving Malchut, who is under the control of Hochma, and they rather shine in covered Hassadim, those Ophanim depart along with the animals, for the Ophanim rise and connect with them.

It has been explained that although the animals depart from Malchut, who is in illumination of Hochma, the Ophanim, which are also in illumination of Hochma, connect with them, since although the animals are in covered Hassadim, they need incorporation with illumination of Hochma, to show that everything is one body, without separation from them, that the animals are not separated from the illumination of Hochma in the Ophanim, but they are rather one, inseparable body. This is so because although they are in covered Hassadim, they want to be incorporated with Hochma and be one with the Ophanim.

It is written, “The spirit lives in the Ophanim.” The desire of that animal is in the Ophanim, that they want to be incorporated with the illumination of Hochma that is in the Ophanim. Although the desire is in the illumination of the upper animals, since they departed from the lower animals in ADNI, they are in Hassadim that are covered from Hochma. Nevertheless, they have a great desire to connect with the Ophanim and be incorporated with the illumination of Hochma in them.

The Ophanim are mainly three: NHY. Two of them are revealed in illumination of Hochma, NH, and one is concealed, covered from Hochma and is not revealed, Yesod. Those two, NH, do a deed that pleases and brings contentment to that animal, revealing for them the illumination of Hochma so the animal may be incorporated with it. This act pleases the animal.

It is written, “Their actions were like Tarshish,” like Trei Shesh [two times six], right and left, which are two of those six. This is so because their actions concern the Ophanim, NH, for the actions of NH are as two from VAK, HGT NHY, which are right and left, NH, which reveal Hochma. This is why it is written “like,” such as their manner, such as their action, which is the act of revealing the Hochma.

451. “When those went, these went.” When who went?
