79- What Is Handsome In the Work?

The soul, which is a part of God above, is captive among the nations. That is, every person is a small world and consists of the seventy nations of the world, and they all govern his soul, which is called “a point in the heart.” For this reason, “If you go”—to an optional war, which is the place to reveal the intention to bestow, for through the war appears the point in the heart.

This is the meaning of the words, “And the Lord your God delivers them into your hands and you take them away captive.” That is, the point in the heart was captive among the nations of the world, so you would prevail over the nations of the world and liberate her.

She must undergo the explained corrections before you take her in order to bestow, or she will return to her captivity among the nations, meaning she will depart. This is regarded as the nations governing the daughter of Israel. That is, we do not see the beauty, but on the contrary, we see that the beauty is in the nations. In other words, if a person is poor in knowledge of Kedusha [holiness], it covers the daughter of Israel, meaning the soul of Israel.
