About

Bnei Baruch

The Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Education & Research Institute is a global educational organization dedicated to teaching and sharing the authentic wisdom of Kabbalah.

The Message

Bnei Baruch is a global movement of thousands of students, each following their own path and pace according to personal inclination and circumstance.
Bnei Baruch offers educational opportunities through the study of authentic Kabbalistic sources presented in a clear, contemporary language. The core message of the teachings is unity among people, nations, and humanity as a whole.

For generations, Kabbalists have taught that love of others is the foundation of human connection. When this love flourishes, it inspires harmony and progress, and when it fades, division and conflict arise. Reviving these timeless values can empower people and societies to rise above differences in a positive connection.

After being hidden for millennia, the wisdom of Kabbalah is reemerging in our time. It offers a practical path to heal social ruptures and raise human consciousness, guiding humanity toward a more harmonious, peaceful, and unified world.

History and Origin

Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman, PhD in Philosophy and Kabbalah and MSc in Medical Bio-Cybernetics, founded Bnei Baruch in 1991 after the passing of his teacher, Kabbalist Baruch Shalom HaLevi Ashlag (RABASH).

Dr. Laitman named the group “Bnei Baruch” (“sons of Baruch”) in honor of his mentor, with whom he studied and lived closely for RABASH’s last 12 years (1979–1991). As his closest student and assistant, Dr. Laitman is regarded as the successor of RABASH’s
teaching method.

RABASH was the eldest son and successor of Kabbalist Yehuda Leib HaLevi Ashlag (Baal HaSulam), who authored the most authoritative and comprehensive commentary on The Book of Zohar: The Sulam Commentary (The Ladder).

Bnei Baruch bases its entire study on the method established by these two great spiritual leaders and continues their authentic method of Kabbalah study and dissemination.

About Kabbalist
Dr. Michael Laitman

Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman is a leading international authority on authentic Kabbalah. Uniquely blending science and spirituality, he holds an MSc in Bio-Cybernetics from Leningrad Polytechnic University and a PhD in Philosophy and Kabbalah from the Institute of Philosophy at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. Originally a scientist, he turned to Kabbalah in 1976 to deepen his understanding of life’s underlying systems and has devoted himself to its study ever since.

In 1979, Dr. Laitman met Kabbalist Baruch Shalom HaLevi Ashlag (RABASH), son and successor of the great Kabbalist Yehuda Leib HaLevi Ashlag (Baal HaSulam). Deeply inspired, Dr. Laitman became RABASH’s closest disciple and personal assistant and spent 12 years by his side until RABASH’s passing in 1991.

Today, Dr. Laitman is widely recognized as the foremost Kabbalist of our time. He has authored over 70 books, translated into more than 40 languages, and teaches daily live Kabbalah lessons that are streamed worldwide. KabU’s curriculum is designed to help students gradually internalize Kabbalistic concepts, supported by interactive study groups, guidance from Kabbalah instructors, and gatherings.

Bnei Baruch also shares Kabbalah lessons and content freely across digital media, ensuring that anyone, anywhere, can engage with authentic Kabbalistic study and community life.

Funding

Bnei Baruch was founded as an Israeli non-profit organization Bnei Baruch RA. It as well as its US 501(c)3 affiliate Bnei Baruch America, Inc. are dedicated to teaching and spreading the authentic wisdom of Kabbalah. Bnei Baruch preserves its independence and integrity of its mission and operates without any financial support or affiliation with any government, political or religious body, or external institution.

As most of its activities are offered free of charge, Bnei Baruch’s primary source of funding comes from voluntary tithing by its students. Additional revenue is generated through sales of Dr Laitman’s books, small user fees to support the digital platforms, and donations from individuals who wish to support the dissemination of authentic Kabbalistic wisdom worldwide.

Outreach

Our mission is to share the wisdom of Kabbalah with the entire world.

People find Bnei Baruch through a wide range of interests. Some seek Kabbalah, The Zohar, or other spiritual studies directly, while others are drawn indirectly through related topics.  Regardless of their entry point, all spiritual seekers share a desire to uncover deeper meaning and purpose in life.

Beyond those exploring spirituality, Kabbalah also speaks to people experiencing existential, developmental, or situational crises, moments that awaken existential questions. It addresses the most essential human inquiry: “What is the meaning of life?” From this, many related questions arise: “Who am I?” “Why do we suffer?” “Where did we come from?” “Is there freewill?” “What is reality?”

To fulfill its mission, Bnei Baruch reaches people both directly and indirectly and engages with diverse audiences through educational programs, media, and global outreach. By presenting authentic Kabbalistic wisdom in a modern, accessible way, the organization helps individuals from all walks of life find meaningful answers and connection through the study of Kabbalah.
