Maaser
What Is Maaser?
Maaser is the payment of a tenth of one’s total income, which a person sets aside for their own and the world’s spiritual correction. No one is ever forced to pay Maaser, but people who deepen their identification with the goal and method of Kabbalah begin to sense a responsibility not just for their own spiritual correction, but for that of humanity. Such people who take the study seriously begin to perceive the payment of Maaser as vital for spiritual life.
