11 spices of the incense
Nitzotzim of light, which
remain to revive the Lev haEven.
1st Histaklut (lit. staring)
The spreading of the light from the Einsof to
the screen. Light which comes from the Einsof
is always light of Chochma (or Orh
of Eyeneim, or Re'iya, or Histaklut).
1st Hitpashtut (lit. 1st
spreading)
Lights of Taamim. See also Hitpashtut.
1st Ibur (lit. 1st pregnancy)

of the Partzuf.
1st Tzimtzum (lit. 1st

A restriction on Malchut, on the 4th
phase, because of which the line of the Einsof
ceases on Malchut of NEH"Y.
2nd Histaklut (lit. 2nd restriction)
The spreading of the light of the Einsof to
the screen, which ascends from the Tabur
to the Peh, and on its way of Hizdakchut
makes Zivugim and gaves birth to the
Partzufim of Nekudot.
2nd Hitpashtut (lit. 2nd
spreading)
The second entry of the lights, after the refinement
of the screen, when the Kelim are already in existence, according to
the rule: "The spreading of the light and its departure make a Kli fitting
for its purpose".
2nd Ibur (lit. 2nd pregnancy)
Zivug for the addition of the light
of Chochma to the Partzuf.
2nd Tzimtzum (lit. 2nd
restriction)
The restriction of NEH"Y of A"K;
A restriction on the 2nd phase. Therefore the line
of the Einsof ceases at Binah
of NEH"Y of A"K, and from them the
place of the worlds of BIY"A is made. The 2nd restriction is
the participation of the measure of Rachamim -
Binah, in the measure of Din -
Malchut.

30 levels in the Guf of Nukvah
The 3 garments in the Guf of Nukvah,
which are Ibur, Yenika and Mochin,
are found in the Achor of Nukvah,
and each includes 10 Sefirot within.
32 Elokim (lit. 32 gods) of the Deed of Genesis (heb.
Ma'aseh Bereshit)
32 Netivot of Chochma, coming from
Binah which is called Elokim, and selecting from the
320 sparks only 288, which are also called the
first 9, thus leaving Malchut below as Psolet.
4 Tzurot (lit. forms, pl. of Tzura)
The Aviut or the desire which is in the created
being is called his material of the created being. The 4 aspects of the
Aviut are called the 4 forms.
4 Yesodot (lit. elements)
The 4 phases that are in the Aviut of Malchut.
A
A"B
AB"A (abbrev. Achor Be Achor, Ach Be Ach, lit.
back to back)
A correction made by means of the light of Binah,
that is, the Chafetz Chesed. When there is
a lack of the light of Chochma in the Kli, the
Kli receives a correction by means of the light of
Binah, that provides it with completeness.
Abba (lit. father)
ABIY"A of Klipot
(abbrev. Atzilut - Briah - Yetzirah - Asiya)
Parallel to ABIY"A of Kedusha, only located opposite to ZO"N
of Atzilut and below. The Klipot are found below
the Kedusha, in the place of Chalal Panui, below
the sium of the line, below the Malchut
which concludes all of the Kedusha. After the 1st
restriction their place is found below raglaim
of A"K. In the 2nd restriction
when the concluding Malchut ascended to Binah,
which is in the Guf of Nekudot
of SA"G, there spread the Parsa, which concludes
the Kedusha. Below the Parsa was made a place of Chalal
Panui for the Olamot of BIY"A. Since this place
is empty of Kedusha - the Klipa has taken all of
this place. The shattering occurred because the light
of Chochma reached from the Rosh of SA"G
and wanted to extend below the Parsa until the end
of Galgalta in all of the ten Sefirot, as was before
the 2nd restriction. This happened
because G"E joined with the ACHA"P
both in the Rosh and in the Guf
of the Partzuf of Nikudim.
However, before the light passed over to the place of the Chalal
Panui, Kelim were smashed and died, because the Parsa
was not abolished. The light departed and rose above, and the Kelim fell
below the Parsa and became mixed with the Klipot
that were found in the place of BIY"A. Below the Parsa
fell only the Kelim of ACHA"P of the Guf of Nikudim,
and not the ACHA"P of the Rosh.
Therefore the Klipot begin only from ZO"N
of Atzilut and below.
AB"P (abbrev. Achor Be Panim, lit. back to face)
A correction to Nukvah: the Panim
of Malchut is only Chochma.
However it is not able to receive the light of Chochma,
because the light of Chochma can only be received
along with the light of Chassadim. Therefore
Z"A fixes Nukvah by means of a
Zivug Achor Be Panim, which bestows
on the Panim of Nukvah the light
of Chassadim from the Achoraim of Zeir
Anpin.
ACHA"P (abbrev. Ozen - Chotem - Peh)
Achiza (lit. hold)
Just as a branch wants to draw sustenance by means of its hold, so
does the Klipa unite itself in the place of a lack
(heb. Chisaron) within the Kedusha, because
the lack is the Klipa's pipe, through which it draws strength and life,
according to the measure of the lack within the Kedusha.
Achor (pl.- Achoraim, lit. back
or hind side)
1. A Kli in which the light of Chochma
does not enclothe itself.
2. A Kli or a portion of a Kli which does not act to bestow or to receive.
3. The portion of the Kli below the Chazeh.
Achoraim of Nukvah
(lit. backs of Nukvah)
The Sefirot of NEH"Y of Nukvah
conclude the Atzilut, and therefore are adjacent
to the Klipot, as the Klipot begin from NEH"Y and
below. The main hold of the Klipot is upon the Achoraim,
as long as there is a lack of Chochma there.
Achsadraim (lit. outer rooms)
Outer rooms, NEH"Y of Zeir Anpin,
which have an illumination of Chochma and
want to reveal it. A revelation of the illumination of Chochma is called
outer rooms. See also Idrin.
Adam haRishon (lit. the first
man)
Adam Kadmon (abbrev. A"K, lit.
Early Man)
The first world which emerged after the 1st
restriction and is receiving from the Einsof
and extending from it up to Olam Hazeh. It is
called Adam, since its Sefirot of Yosher together
with its light of bestowal are the root of a man (heb. Adam) in
this world. It is called Kadmon (lit.
ancient, early) since the 1st Tzimtzum acts within
it.
Adjacent (heb. Samuch)
ADN"Y
Afterwards (heb. Achar Kach)
Before is the cause, and afterwards is the effect which
comes from it. See Before.
Agol (lit. round)
When there is no distinction both from above and from below between
the 4 aspects of the desire to receive. Therefore the 4 aspects are called
4 round circles (heb. Igulim), one inside the other, which have
no above and below between them. See also Yashar.
Aivarim (lit. limbs)
Sefirot of Guf.
Aiyn (lit. nothing)
The concealment of the light of Chochma.
The existence of the light of Chochma is called Yesh.
Alef
1 (the numerical value of the Hebrew letter Alef)
Alpayim Amah of the boundary of Shabat (2000 Amah - measure
of length equal to about half a meter)
The true place of the worlds is like the 2nd phase before
the sin (of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil): Zeir
Anpin is in the place of Arich Anpin, Malchut
is in the place of AV"I, Briah is in the place of ISHSU"T,
and Yetzirah is in the place of Zeir Anpin. The first
4 Sefirot of Asiya are in the place of Nukvah and
are enclothed on the world of Yetzirah. The last 6 Sefirot of Asiya are
in the place of the 6 Sefirot of the world of Briah. The first 6 Sefirot
of the place of the world of Briah, from the Parsa
until the Chazeh of the world of Briah, are called
Ibur of Ir, and belong to the city, to Atzilut,
because there remain the 6 lower Sefirot of Asiya at the time of the ascension.
>From the Chazeh of Briah to the Sium, remains an empty
space of 24 Sefirot, which is empty of the light. The 16 Sefirot from
the Parsa to the Chazeh of Yetzirah, are called the boundary of Shabat
(heb. Tchum Shabat) . Tchum Shabat is the 10 Sefirot
from the Chazeh of Briah to the Chazeh of Yetzirah, which is 2000 Amah.
The 14 Sefirot from the Chazeh of Yetzirah to the Sium are called Mador
haKlipot. The city (heb. Ir) - the world of Atzilut. Parsa
- the end of the city.

short) - a restriction of Chochma. Rachav (lit. wide) - a bestowal
of Chassadim. Tzar (lit. narrow) - a restriction
of Chassadim.
Asiya
The 10 Sefirot of the stature of Malchut, which
receives from Zeir Anpin.
Atik (lit. ancient)
Attachment of the Klipot
The Klipot attach themselves to the Achoraim
of Malchut, because Malchut makes a Sium
to the Upper Light, so that from Malchut and below it is already a place
of darkness. Therefore at the point of the Sium of Malchut there is an
equivalence with the Klipot, and it is considered that the Klipot are attached
there.

of Olam Hazeh)
Ben (lit. son)
The lower one with respect to the upper one.
Berur (lit. selection, clarification,
classification; pl. Berurim) and Tikun (lit. correction)
Berur is called the lowering of the 32 Nitzotzim,
the 32 Malchuyiot in the aspect of Psolet.
288 remain for the building of Kedusha, which - when
it is being fixed by means of the illumination of Abba,
- is called the selection of lights.
However, without Malchut there is no level,
and the inclusion of the First Hey and the Lower
Hey together is received from the screen of Ima,
and is called the participation of the measure of Din
in the measure of Rachamim. From this inclusion
the 32 new Malchuyiot are completed to 320 Nitzotzim. A Berur is possible
only by means of the light of Abba, since it does not illuminate the 4th
phase, and in this way the Psolet is clarified. The
Tikun is made by means of the light of Ima.
Berur is to select the portions of the 4th aspect, which
disturb the reception of the Upper Light.

Yesod; since it causes the 10 Sefirot of the
Orh Chozer to ascend, and receives in them the
9 Sefirot of Orh Yashar.
Chalal (lit. vacuum)
The 4th phase, which is empty of light. As a result of
the 1st restriction it has not become
absent in the emanated being, but is there as a phase of an empty vacuum
without light.
Chalal Panui (lit. empty space
or vacuum)
By virtue of the 1st restriction
Malchut brings the Upper Light to an end.
This end is located above the point of Olam Hazeh.
By means of the 2nd restriction, the
place of the Tzimtzum ascended from the Sium
of the Partzuf of Galgalta to the Chazeh
of the Partzuf of Nikudim, and from there and below
were made the Chalal Panui and the Place of the Klipot.
However, as result of the falling of the Kelim of bestowal to the place
of BIY"A, below the Chazeh, only 14 Sefirot remained for the Mador
haKlipot. As a result of the sin of the Adam
haRishon, the point of Sium of Kedusha
descended to Binah of Malchut of the world of
Asiya, which is called the ground of the Garden
of Eden, and from there the place of Chalal Panui was made.
It therefore follows that as a result of the shattering of the Kelim
and the sin of the Adam HaRishon, the vacuum was reduced, because the place
of the Parsa descended to Binah of Malchut of Asiya.
However the Klipot acquired the strength to build 4
worlds.

even at a time when the Lower One is not fitting to ascend to the Upper
One.
Dalet
4 (the numerical value of the Hebrew letter Dalet)
Dam (lit. blood)
The Aviut that is in Malchut.
To this Aviut the 1st restriction applies, so
that it cannot receive any light within it. Hence Malchut ceases (heb.
Domem, same root as dam) to receive light and, therefore it is called Dam.
When this Aviut is in NEH"Y it is called Dam which
is in the source, to which applies the Din of not
to receive. However when this Aviut ascends to CHAGA"T,
where it is not its place, it is sweetened and transformed
into milk.

source)
See Dam.
Dam of Leida (lit.
blood of birth)
When the MA"N of Zeir Anpin ascends
to AV"I, it ascends together with the MA"N of all the
Partzufim which are to emerge in the future, from
Zeir Anpin to the last Partzuf that is in the World
of Asiya. During the months of Ibur, the MA"N of
Zeir Anpin is selected from the remaining MA"N. The Partzufim of the Ibur
of Zeir Anpin emerge, and afterwards MA"N of Zeir Anpin is born. During
birth, all of the MA"N which does not belong to Zeir Anpin comes out as
Dam of Leida. The Dam of Leida is also called Dam
Tameh.

since the inner Partzuf is GA"R and the outer is VA"K.
Dibur (lit. speech)
10 Sefirot of light, which pass by way of Malchut,
and descend from it and below to the Guf.

The closer something is to the place of Chalal
Panui, the more distant it is considered to be from the Upper Light.

Dmut (lit. semblance, image)

name HAVAYA"H are Tzelem; and
the last Hey of HAVAYA"H is Dmut.
Dofen (lit. side)
The Aviut of the screen
is the Kli which receives light and is called Dofen of the Kli,
because the sides of the Kli make up its totality. The 4 aspects of the
Aviut are the 4 Klipot in the width of the side,
which are enclothed one on the other, and are considered to be Pnimiut
and Chitzoniyut. The most coarse aspect in the
side of the Kli draws down greater abundance and is considered to be the
Pnimiut of the Kli; and the remaining, more refined aspects, are considered
as the Chitzoniyut of the Kli. The 4th aspect is inner with
respect to the 3rd aspect, and the 3rd aspect is
inner with respect to the 2nd.
Dormita (lit. sleep)
When a Partzuf ascends to its Upper

it is considered that the Partzuf remains below with only a little life-force,
and this diminished life-force is considered as sleep.

over them.
HAVAYA"H - ADN"Y
A Zivug PB"P
of Zeir Anpin and Nukvah is hinted
at by the combination YAHDVNH"Y: Yod of HAVAYA"H, which is Zeir Anpin,
comes at the beginning of the combination and hints at Chochma
which is in Zeir Anpin. Yod of ADN"Y, that comes at the end of the combination,
hints at Chochma which is in Nukvah.

of Rosh, which is called Peh, to

since the inner Partzuf is GA"R and the outer is
VA"K.
Ima (lit. mother)
Ima Tata'a (lit. the lower mother)
Malchut of Atzilut.
Inner (heb. Pnimi)
Inner Zivug

The inner Kelim of Atzilut are KACHA"B, which

together with the lights of NARA"N. The light of Chaya
and Yechida are dressed within the light of Neshama.
The Kelim of Zeir Anpin and Malchut
were separated from the Partzuf. Therefore they are called Bassar
and Ohr, which are not true and complete Kelim, but only surround the Kli
of the Guf from the outside. They receive the lights
that are in them - Ruach and Nefesh
- from the inner Kelim. Therefore there are lights of Ruach and Nefesh
in the inner Kelim, and lights of Ruach and Nefesh in the outer Kelim.
>From the Zivug of the inner Kelim are born souls of the people; and from
the Zivug of the outer Kelim are born the souls of the angels.
Therefore the souls of a man are considered as the Pnimiut
of the worlds, because they emerge from the inner Kelim of the Partzuf;
and the angels are considered as Chitzoniyut
of the worlds, because they emerge from the outer Kelim of the Partzuf.

Keter (lit. crown; pl. Ktarim)
The inspiration of the Shoresh upon the level
is called Keter, from the Hebrew word Machtir (lit. crowning;
has the same root Kaf, Tav, Reish), meaning: encircling, because Keter
is more refined than any level, and therefore it encircles Partzuf
from above.
Kisse (lit. throne, chair)
World of Briah. The word Kisse is
from Kissuy and Ha'alama (lit. Covering and Concealing),
because the light of Chochma is concealed there.

shell)

life and called dead.
Knafaim (lit. wings)
Malchut of Ima is always
in a state of Katnut, and it separates between ZO"N
and the Chitzonim. Thus it protects ZO"N,
because through Malchut of Ima, only the illumination
of Chochma passes. The Parsa below Atzilut
is made of Malchut of Ima as well. It is called shoe (heb. Na'al),
because it protects the leg of ZO"N, and no illumination
of Chochma passes through it.

The name HAVAYA"H while filled out with the
Milluy of the letters Alef: [Yod - Vav - Dalet] -
[Hey - Alef] - [Vav - Alef - Vav] - [Hey - Alef]. And all the statures
which come out in Atzilut, come out in the stature
of MA"H. And MA"H is called the New MA"H in relation to the lights,
Nitzotzim and Kelim of Nikudim,
which are joined to it and are considered older than it, because they were
already used in the previous Partzuf of Nikudim.
MA"N (abbrev. Meyen Nukvin; lit. waters
of nukvot)
G"E of the lower one, which
were attached to ACHA"P of
the upper one in a single level, ACHA"P of the Upper
being declined in them to a state of Katnut. Therefore,
as a result of the attachment at the time of Katnut,
even when the Upper Level enters a state of Gadlut
because its ACHA"P rises and becomes new NEH"Y,
G"E of the Lower Level are still within its ACHA"P. This is like the screen
and Reshimot of A"B, which are
included in the Rosh of Galgalta,
and beget A"B; and the same is also done in the 2nd
restriction by means of Ibur, only that the Zivug
applies to the Yesod. See also Meyen
Nukvin.

descends below the Parsa.
Makor haOrhot (lit. source of

Malchut ain lah Orh (lit. there is no light in Malchut)

and only the Aviut of the Shoresh
remains, which is not enough for the Zivug,
and therefore Malchut can only receive from the
Zivug done in Zeir Anpin.
Malchut Mesayemet (lit. Malchut that concludes)

the time of its Katnut. MA"N of
the Lower One are attached to the ACHA"P
of the Partzuf of Nukvah, to the MA"N of Nukvah herself,
which is left to it from her Ibur. And from the screen
of her Ibur, the Lower One receives the stature of its Ibur. Therefore,
MA"N of Ibur is included in MANTZEPA"CH of Nukvah, which Nukvah raises
to Zeir Anpin, and then the Ibur on its MA"N takes place,
and Partzuf gets its stature.
Masach (lit. screen)
The power of Tzimtzum which arises in the
emanated being as a reaction to the Upper Light and stopping it on its
way down to the 4th phase. This means that on the very moment
that the Upper Light arrives and contacts the 4th phase, the
power of Tzimtzum is awakened, strikes the Upper Light and pushes it back.
This very power is called Masach.
Matah (lit. beneath)
Lower in level.
Mazal (lit. luck, constellation; derived
from the verb lizol, lit. to flow)
Yesod, because it bestows the light
of Chochma in measures, like drops, without continuity.

Se'arot of Dikna, because their lights
flow down like drops, until they join the great lights that are in the
worlds.
Mechaber (lit. joins)
Malchut of the Upper One
became Keter for the Lower One
and in this way it joins these two levels together, because an equivalence
of form is made between them and by this a connection
is made between all of the levels.

Guf of a Partzuf.
Mem
40 (the numerical value of the Hebrew letter Mem).
Meshulash (lit. triangle)
A level with only the first 3 aspects of the desire.

the light of Chochma illuminates by means of
the light of A"B-SA"G, the Se'arot

Meyen Nukvin (lit. waters of Nukvot)
As a result of the spreading of the Nekudot
of SA"G below the Tabur, were joined together
the two Reshimot: of the first
Hey from SA"G and of the lower
Hey from Galgalta, and the screen
included two Nekevot - Binah
and Malchut. For this reason the screen is called
Meyen Nukvin, since from this point on each Zivug
it makes includes two Nukvin. See also MA"N.
Meyuchad (lit. unique)
When in the end everything will be made into Yachid.
Mezonot (lit. sustenance)
It comes necessarily from a higher level, because it gives
the power to ascend and enclothe the upper level permanently.
Mi (lit. who)
-

The measure of the Aviut that is in the
screen, because the Kli is being
filled by due to it (i.e. to the Aviut).
Milluy of HAVAYA"H (lit. filling in of HAVAYA"H)
The name of HAVAYA"H (Hey - Vav - Yod - Hey vocalized with sound a)
is the 10 Sefirot: Yod - Chochma, the first Hey
- Binah, Vav - Zeir Anpin, the lower
Hey - Malchut. However, this does not indicate their
stature, which can be the stature of Nefesh or Ruach,
or Neshama, or Chaya, or Yechida.
It is determined according to their Milluy, which makes clear the
light that is in the 10 Sefirot of HAVAYA"H: the stature of Nefesh of HAVAYA"H
is filled with the Milluy of Hey, and has the numerical value BO"N (52);
the stature of Ruach is filled with the Milluy of Alef, and has the numerical
value MA"H (45). The stature of Neshama is filled with
the Milluy of Yod and only the Vav is filled with the Milluy of Alef, and
this has the total numerical value of SA"G (63); and
the stature of Chaya is completely filled with the Milluy of Yod, even
inside the Vav of HAVAYA"H, and has the total numerical value of A"B
(72). See also Milluyim.
Milluyim (sing. Milluy; lit.
fillings)
Partzuf is 10 Sefirot which are empty: Keter
- Chochma - Binah - Tiferet
- Malchut. The signs in the name of HAVAYA"H are:
Yod -Chochma, Hey - Binah, Vav - Zeir Anpin, Hey - Malchut. The numerical
value is as follows: Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey = 10+5+6+5 = 26 = Kaf-Vav. However,
this does not indicate these Sefirot"s stature - Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama,
Chaya, Yechida - which is determined according to the Milluy of
the light by the 10 Sefirot. And their stature goes
as follows.
The stature of Chaya is completely filled with
the Milluy of Yod (=10) even inside the Vav of HAVAYA"H, and the total
numerical value of this is A"B (Ayin-Bet=72):
Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey of Chaya = (10+6+4)
+ (5+10) + (6+10+6) + (5+10) = 72 = A"B
The stature of Neshama is filled with the Milluy
of Yod (=10), and only the Vav is filled with the Milluy of Alef (=1),
and this has the total numerical value of SA"G (Samech-Gimel=63):
Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey of Neshama = (10+6+4)
+ (5+10) + (6+1+6) + (5+10)=63=SA"G.
The stature of Ruach is filled with the Milluy
of Hey (=5) and only the Vav has the Milluy of Alef (=1), and the total
numerical value of this is MA"H (Mem-Hey=45):
Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey of Ruach = (10+6+4)
+ (5+1) + (6+1+6) + ( 5+1)= 45 = MA"H
The stature of Nefesh is filled with the Milluy
of Hey (=5) and only the Vav has no Milluy, and the total numerical value
of this is BO"N (Bet-Nun = 52):
Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey of Nefesh = (10+6+4)
+ (5+5) + (6+6) + (5+5) = 52 = BO"N
Index for calculating numerical values:
This Index is based on the Hebrew spelling of the full names of the
letters of the name of HAVAYA"H, which are Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey. The spelling
and numerical value of Yod remain unchanged, but those of Hey and Vav vary,
and are therefore different from one stature to the other, thus changing
the stature's total numerical value accordingly.
The following table specifies these variations.

of the Upper One, or of the Lower
One, or of itself.
Mitah, Place of Mitah (lit. death)
The place that is below the Sium of the Upper
Light, that is, below the point of Tzimtzum, which
is the Parsa. Therefore Kelim that fell below the
Parsa are called dead, since they are separated from the light of life.
Mitah (lit. death)
Wherever the light of Atzilut departs from
the Kli, it is considered as death. Therefore the light
of Chochma is called the light
of life, Orh of Chaya, since the Kli has no Chayut
other than with the light of Chochma.
Mitah of Melachim (lit. death
of the kings)
After they are unable to receive the light
of Chochma, they are cut off from the Kav of the
Upper Light. This is considered that they fell to BIY"A
and died, because the light ends up in Atzilut.
Mitbatel (lit. being cancelled out; relinquishing one's separate
existence; merging into)

Mochin of Holada (lit. brains
of birth)
1) That which Zeir Anpin receives by means of ascending
to MA"N after 9 years, and ZO"N make
a Zivug Panim Be Panim

ZO"N. The lights of the 10 Sefirot are called: Nefesh
- Ruach - Neshama - Chaya
- Yechida. The Kelim are named top down, and the
lights bottom up, according to the order of their growth.
Narrow (heb. Tzar)
Near (heb. Karov)
Nechtam (lit. sealed, imprint)
Those 10 Sefirot that pass from the Rosh to the
Guf, because the seal is the returning
light that ascends from the screen above and
dresses the 10 Sefirot of Rosh.
Nefesh (lit. soul)
Light that the Partzuf receives from its adjacent Upper One, and not
as a bestowal from the Einsof. Also called the light
of Nukvah.

The descent of a level to the lower level, because of becoming like
it.
Nehiro

and does not elevate a returning light is black
and without any light, as a result of the Tzimtzum,
which is done in the middle point.

of the screen.

also called Melafon.
Light of Sium of Raglaim - Nekudot
below the letters.
Nekudot of SA"G
Neshama (lit. soul)
Light which is dressed in the Kli of Binah. It
is also called breath (heb. Neshima), because Zeir
Anpin receives the light of the breath of life (heb. Ruach of
Chayim) from Binah, by means of rising and descending, like breathing.
Neshamot of Adam haRishon (lit.
souls of the First Man)
Before the sin this refers to NARA"N from BIY"A
which is in Atzilut. After the sin remains the light
of Nefesh in the Kli of Keter, in all the Sefirot
of BIY"A except of AV"I of Briah.
Neshamot of Bnei-Adam (lit.
souls of men)
The inner Kelim of Atzilut are KACHA"B,
and are also called Mocha, Atzamot (see Bassar),
Gidin, together with the lights of NARA"N.
The lights of Chaya and Yechida
are dressed within the light of Neshama. The Kelim
of Zeir Anpin and Malchut separated
from the Partzuf and therefore they are called Bassar
and Ohr, yet they are not real, complete Kelim, but
only surround the Kelim of the Guf from the outside.
The Kelim of Zeir Anpin and Malchut receive their lights, Ruach
and Nefesh, from the inner Kelim. Thus there are
lights of Ruach and Nefesh in the inner Kelim as well
as lights of Ruach and Nefesh in the outer Kelim. From the Zivug
of the inner Kelim are born the souls of men, and
from the Zivug of the outer Kelim are born the souls of angles.
Therefore the souls are considered to be the Pnimiut
of the worlds, because they emerge from the
inner Kelim of the Partzuf, and the angels are considered to be the Chitzoniyut
of the worlds, because they emerge from the outer Kelim of the Partzuf.
Neshamot of Malachim (lit. souls of angels)
See Neshamot of Bnei-Adam.
Neshamot Chadashot (lit. new souls)
1) The substantially new souls, which are drawn
from Chochma of Orh Yashar,
and they do not get to the world of Tikun.
2) The renewed souls, which come from Chochma
of the 32 paths, from Binah which is included
in Chochma. However, with relation to ZO"N they are
new, because they come from the new MA"H (and only the
souls of BO"N are old);
In these souls there are two aspects:
A). New souls of PB"P; because at the time
of the Temple, Zeir Anpin was
permanently in the stature of A"B, and Briah,
which is the aspect of Neshamot, was in Atzilut;
and therefore the souls were in the world of Atzilut as well, and were
considered to be PB"P.
B). After the destruction of the Temple, Briah descended to
its place below the Parsa, and so there is no light
of Atzilut in Briah other than AB"A, and therefore
these souls are considered as new Neshamot from the aspect of AB"A.
Neshikin (lit. kissing)
The Zivug of the two inner Partzufim
of Z"A and Nukvah. It is also called
a Zivug of Kol and Dibur.
Neshira of the Eivarim (lit. dropping of the limbs)
The fall of the souls to the Klipot. In the
Kelim the fall to the Klipot is called shattering.
Neshira of the Eivarim of Adam
haRishon (lit. dropping of the limbs of the First Man)
Before the sin, Adam haRishon had had NARA"N
of Atzilut, and after the sin all the limbs of his
soul dropped, and there remained only the light
of Nefesh in the Kelim of 100 Ktarim.
Nesira (lit. sawing)
The separation of Nukvah from Zeir
Anpin.
Netinat Orhot (lit. giving of lights)
The giving of lights from Sefirah to Sefirah by means of the refinement
of the screen. All the lights come to Keter:
when the 3rd aspect of Keter refined itself and turned into
the 2nd aspect, it gave lights to Chochma;
when the Aviut of Chochma refined itself and turned
from the 2nd aspect into the 1st aspect, it gave
lights to the Kli of Binah, etc.
Netzitzo (lit. spark)
The Orh Chozer.
Nikud of Otiyot (lit. vocalization
of letters)
This indicates the source of each particular level which is in the
letters, whether it is an inclusion of the Upper
One, or of the Lower One, or of itself. The
filling in of names indicates the stature of
the level.
Nikudim
Nikuy of Psolet (lit. waste disposal)
The Aviut in the MA"N of the
lower one ascends and is included in the Zivug
of the upper Partzuf. There this Aviut is clarified and corrected by means
of attaining the screen from the Upper
One. Then the lower one itself is fitting for Zivug. Everything depends
on the Zivug that is made in the Upper One; if the Zivug is made upon the
1st Aviut which is in the screen, then from the entire Aviut
only the 1st aspect is clarified and all the remaining aspects
are not clarified, and they come out as waste, because
they were not corrected by the screen. Therefore this Zivug is referred
to by the name waste disposal, because only the amount of waste
that the screen absorbs, is then corrected and rendered fitting for Zivug.
Nekevah (also Nukvah; lit. female)
Malchut of the world of
Atzilut. It is called so because it receives light from Z"A
through a hole (heb. Nekev, same root as Nekevah) in Zeir Anpin's
Chazeh, wherein the light decreases.
Nikvei Eyeneim (lit. eye holes)
The 1st aspect of the Rosh, because
Chochma is called Eyeneim
and as a result of the elevation of the lower Hey
in the Eyeneim, a Nukvah was made in Chochma as well.
Nikvei Ozen, Chotem, Eyeneim (lit.
holes of ears, nose, eyes)
In the 2nd restriction Malchut
ascended in each Sefirah up to the Sefirah of Chochma,
and made in each Sefirah holes in the Chotem, Ozen and
Eyeneim. Before the elevation of Malchut in each Sefirah, there was
only one hole in the Peh.
Nimshach (lit. drawn)
The descent of light by force of the Aviut, meaning,
by force of the longing that is in the emanated being. This is called Nimshach
(lit. drawn) or Hamshacha (lit. the act of drawing).
Nitzotzim (also Nitzotzin; heb. sparks)
The Reshimot that were left from the lights
of Nikudim after their departure from the shattered
Kelim, have within them two kinds of lights:
1) A refined direct light
- also called the lights - that remained in Atzilut.
2) A coarse returning light
- also called Nitzotzin - that descended together with the Kelim
in BIY"A.
Noflim (lit. that are falling)
When Z"A is fitting, Tvunah
ascends to Ima, makes a Zivug
upon the 2nd Aviut and bestows on Z"A.
Ima is called supporter to the falling, which are ZO"N,
because she bestows on them GA"R.
-

Be Panim with Zeir Anpin in one Keter.
The purpose of Nukvah's lessening is a Nekudah beneath
the Yesod of Zeir Anpin.
Nun
50 (the numerical value of the Hebrew letter Nun).

O
Olam (lit. World, pl. Olamot)
The name Olam begins from the Partzuf of BO"N
of the world of Adam Kadmon, because Z"A
and Malchut of the inner Kelim
of the 4th phase "disappeared" (heb. Verb ne'elam, same
root as Olam) and then turned into Kelim for the Orh
Makif, which are called Levush and Heychal.
The meaning of Olam is concealment.
Olam haBa (lit. the world to come)
Lights of Tvunah, which are constantly coming
in ZO"N. See also La'Atid Lavo
Olam haZeh (lit. This world)
Olamot BIY"A
Olamot and Neshamot (lit. worlds and souls)
AV"I make two Zivugim:
1). Ach Be Ach, in order to revive the worlds
with lights of Chassadim.
2). PB"P, in order to beget souls. From the 1st
Zivug, the outer one, extends the Levush, and from
the 2nd Zivug, the inner one, extends the light
of Chochma, the souls. Therefore there are three Partzufim:
The outer and the middle ones from the 1st Zivug, and the inner
one from the 2nd Zivug.
