First Time at a Kabbalah Convention?

What is to be expected?

Feasts (Meals)

The feasts at the convention are times for connecting and meeting new friends from all over the world, as we, all of us together, hold the intention of unity and spiritual attainment

During the convention we will hold feasts together, in the best tradition of the sages.

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, a feast represents a lofty spiritual state in which the soul is filled with Light  - "eats" and "drinks" the Light as a result of the revelation of the upper force, the Creator.

However, in the spiritual realm, a feast can never be held by one alone, because the Kli (vessel) for receiving the upper Light is created only by the connection between people.

And so, with this simple earthly action of feasting together, we can draw ourselves nearer to the attainment of the spiritual reality.

Spiritual flavors
The correct preparation for a feast at a convention depends solely on one's intentions - what will you gain by it? Why are you eating here, of all places, along with thousands of people who are yearning for spirituality?  Why not elsewhere?

During the varied feasts, we will meet new friends who are yearning for the same goal as us, and the joint singing and cultural activities during the feasts will contribute to the levity of spirit necessary for discovering the spiritual reality together.

On the Menu
Service will include rich meat dishes for lunch and dinner, buffet style. In addition, there will be vegetarian courses and a selection of salads.

Beverages and light snacks will be freely available during the convention - coffee, tea, cookies and more.

Important to note:

  • Meals and service are Kosher
  • The food will contain no artificial additives. The food served will be 'home cooked', with natural flavoring only (no instant soup powders etc.)
  • There will be no "specially prepared" foods (gluten-free and such, for instance)
  • For questions and special requests please contact us at info@kab.co.il

Cultural Programs

There will be various cultural and musical performances during the convention

cultureThe music and entertainment programs in the evenings are perhaps the most moving and emotional events during the convention, and are the highlight of every day. The evenings consist of music performances, theater pieces, dance performances, humorous skits, etc.

The common excitement, inspiration, and joy are all meant to direct us to the revelation of the spiritual reality. They elevate the soul, thus bringing all participants one step closer to the goal.

Songs and Music

We all love music and for a good reason - music is the only force in the world that crosses all language barriers, differences, and prejudices, and it speaks directly to a person's heart

All the songs that will be played during the convention are available for download here. All songs were written and performed by Kabbalah students and artists, expressing their inspiration on their path of spiritual development.

It is recommended to become familiarized with the songs as much as possible as we prepare for the convention, so that everyone can benefit from listening and singing along to these songs together.

Preparing for a Kabbalah Lesson

In preparation before each Kabbalah lesson, prior to the study, we need to think how to build and reconstruct the special spiritual connection we had between us in the past – before we fell to the sensation of this world – think how to connect between us

In preparation before each Kabbalah lesson, prior to the study, we need to think how to build and reconstruct the special spiritual connection we had between us in the past - before we fell to the sensation of this world - think how to connect between us. This thought at the lesson needs to include every one around the world that is with us in this search, in listening, and it doesn't matter whether they are identified with us physically or virtually, because mainly what counts is the desire to participate.

This collective participation for preparation and during the lesson is called the "mutual guarantee", for it Makes us think of others and also shows us that we can't attain the spiritual connection on our own. In ancient times mutual guarantee could be attained, the common vessel, in the connection between a teacher and student, the teacher would give a part of his, because he was in a spiritual degree, and the student would try in as much as he was capable to annul himself towards the teacher, and reach with him together some degree of unity.

These days, the method for attaining mutual guarantee and creating a spiritual vessel through the relationship between the teacher and student is no longer valid, but today the main part of our work is attaining mutual guarantee is executed in a collective manner, in accordance with the new globalization era we have entered.

Therefore, it is very important that we all, the convention participants, will understand the importance and the direction we need to be in at preparation and during the lesson - in mutual guarantee - so we can produce from it the most.

Mutual guarantee means, that each promises to everyone that he will give his part to build the spiritual connection. During the lesson and beyond, when each wants and operates in this direction - in order to find the connection between the souls, for something to be born between them, above the feeling of this world - by doing so we invite upon us the Reforming Light, to operate on all those desires in which we want and yearn for connection and corrects them. The Surrounding Light then operates on our desires, and actually executes an action of welding on them.

This is the right preparation for the lesson, and it doesn't matter what we are studying in that lesson. This means, it's not important how much we understand the material, and in which language we study. Baal HaSulam had students that didn't understand at all the language he taught. And he use to say: "it's not important, they will advance". And they really advanced. It is so very not important. For the important thing is, that one is with the rest of the souls that are prepared to enter with him, and connect and do with him the correction in the place where the break was, in the connection between us.

When we open a book and read, even when we don't understand what we study - it's not important if we understand, for the advancement is only out of desire and crave.
