Lesson 3

Scientists are Discovering Kabbalah

• Degrees of conformity with the general law
• The right path of development
• What have the prophets failed to implement?
• How can I get to know myself?

What more can be added? As we comprehend this general law, we very gradually begin to equalize with it. This gradual manner in which we equalize with it is called Worlds; the world of Asiya, the world of Yetzira, the world of Beria, the world of Atzilut and so on, until we equalize with the entire law, which is called the world of Ein Sof (Infinity). There are 125 steps in the grasping of the external reality. We equalize our form and identify with this general law to the extent that we exit ourselves, and to that extent we also become capable of acting for ourselves and feel the same way as this law, meaning - not limited in any category, in any direction.

This actually is the goal of reality, which every person and the entire reality must reach. We are now exactly at the beginning of this process, we are beginning to understand the final reality and equalize with it. That is why this is such a difficult time, because the general law of reality is acting in such a way that it is forcing us to know it and equalize with it. It will become easier for every generation that will follow because we are the first ones who are starting this process. We can see it on the people that arrive to our classes all over the world, how every passing year the comprehension becomes easier, people begin to understand things on their own, to accept them and see that it is the truth. Today even a simple person can grasp and accept what the Greek philosophers couldn't grasp at their time.

Now, when I meet with scientists who I used to work with thirty to thirty five years ago in Russia, I find them to be very different from what I remember, which is something I did not expect from them. We are now about to travel to the United States where we will have meetings with scientists. I expect them to welcome what we really bring to them; we are receiving invitations from people that I never expected to be thinking in a way other than the dry scientific one.

That is actually the idea I wanted to talk about - the scientific approach, how all is perceived within, as opposed to the Kabbalistic approach, which enables the vision of what is happening outside.

Question: Who is the science of Kabbalah intended for?

When I speak about science I do not relate it to Israel, it belongs to the whole human race. By modifying our perception of reality we simply act towards balance with the general upper power. In doing so, we draw upon ourselves beneficial, more comfortable development, instead of pressure and sufferings. If we would have used the opportunity that humanity had at the time of the Greeks instead of digressing onto desires for money, honor, knowledge, and only then spirituality, then we would have developed in an entirely different way, the way that the prophets intended to bring us but did not succeed. That is what Baal HaSulam writes, that there was extensive connection between the philosophers and the prophets, but that this connection did not succeed in bringing results. We are now returning virtually to the same place, after science has developed for more than 3000 years, bringing disappointment and an understanding that the development has to be towards the recognition of the external force, and not the inner experiences that we study.

Question: How much time does one who studies need in order to grasp the general law?

We do not know how long it will take, but it is not that important, because as soon as we begin working our way in the right direction, toward balance between us and the general force, we immediately start experiencing beneficial outcomes. Without a doubt, I can already see this, perhaps more than others; the transformation is already taking place. There is serious response in the world, even from those who are totally remote or even unaware of this wisdom. We do not see anything positive in anti-Semitism or in similar expressions, we think they are negative, they seem hideous to us at the present time, but this is also part of that change that is taking place. It is not the time to dwell on this subject now, but we will surely see this in a short while.

We don't need to wait until 2020 to see Israel in a really good, honorable situation. I think it will happen much sooner. It depends on us, on how much we will do, because the entire balance depends on us as the main component, not on the scientists or the nations of the world. We are the ones that start the process and unfortunately it depends only on us. That is why we feel the greatest pressure out of all the nations and all parts of reality. If we would be able to understand the reason and make a difference, then everything will work out. The entire world is suffering and we are accountable.

Question: Does the outcome of research depend on the person's nature?

Yes. And it is not just me saying this; science claims that the results of research are totally dependent on the person doing the study.

Question: So does this mean that they will need to study Kabbalah and change their properties?

They are willing to study Kabbalah. We are now building an institute in Moscow, just like all other institutes in other fields of study, which will function under the supervision of the Academy for Sciences, called "The Integral Institute", in which scientists and heads of departments will serve as representatives forming a link between all sciences and the wisdom of Kabbalah. It has already been started; I was there two weeks ago and the institute has been founded and now the work is actually being implemented Hopefully, this will be implemented in the United States as well, within a year. These scientists have realized the importance of the science of Kabbalah and they agreed to pass it on to all of the teachers. There is a national institute for professional training of teachers in Russia and it will now include a mandatory course in the wisdom of Kabbalah. This will involve hundreds of thousands of people. The state of Israel will be the last one to implement this, as usual, what can we do?

Question: Is it because of the coarseness of the Israeli Nation that Israel will be last?

It is indeed happening according to the coarseness, the Israeli Nation is the coarsest, the most "evil" according to nature. It is clear, it has been written about this nation that it is "tough minded", stubborn, but the Israeli Nation will have to learn somehow, even if it will take a long time. We may turn again to scientists, and I hope that the nation will gain some of their understanding, but how much of it will pass on from them to the rest of the nation is questionable. Hopefully, when seeing how this develops in Russia and the United States, Israel will feel the good pressure, and be able to save itself some suffering. The general force will keep pressuring everybody; it will obligate everybody to know it and to equalize with it, to be in equivalence of form with the Upper power, either in a good way or a bad way. So let us hope that Israel will save some blows from itself, and shorten the time to achieve good results. In Israel this is really hard, but it is changing.

Question: How do scientists deal with the demand to change, a demand that never existed before?

In the past it wasn't important who the scientist was, what his character was or his attributes were. We know how arrogant scientists are, how much they demand respect and domination. It is even more evident that scientists are people with great amounts of energy and will power. I know them well. They are ready for anything; they don't care about any disturbances, not even their own life sometimes. These people are very dedicated to their ideas. They realize through their studies that everything they have learned up to now is a lie, because the scientific results depend on the one who is studying, and the attributes of the one studying are variable, and so all of the conclusions that have been drawn from scientific research during thousands of years have no real, solid basis. That is why they are simply willing to listen, ready to move forward, they have no alternative.

And so their question is this: If I am now studying reality, and first I need to study my own properties, how can I get to know myself? What am I included in? How do I do research? Such a person is already beginning to talk out of the point in the heart, about the Ten Sefirot and the concepts of Direct Light and Returning Light. They comprehend this because the wisdom of Kabbalah discusses forces that exist in regular sciences as well, such as Reshimot, the force of resistance, the desire to receive. For example, when I teach them the "Opening" course, (a 600 page book, in a conversation format, that was published in Russian along with my explanations), they are now used to studying it regularly. As time went on I got tired from talking to them for long periods of time. They would sit for five to six hours at a time and concentrate on the material. This is a different type of people. They comprehend this material in a very serious way because they reached the conclusion on their own, that if a person changes one's properties according to the external nature a person begins to study something which is external. This is what Newton wanted, as well as all other scientists, this is what they thought they were originally studying. And now they have reached the conclusion that it is only possible when the researcher goes out of the system as well. The method for achieving this is the Kabbalah. I can show you thousands of articles written by world famous scientists, Nobel Prize winners, discussing reality and its perception, research and destiny, about our relation to reality.
