The Truth, and Nothing But the Truth
We must teach our children to speak the truth, whatever the truth may be.
Even when we see how selfish we are, that, too, is the truth, and we must be happy because it is the truth being revealed.
If we teach them that truth is a good thing—and truth is what a person feels within, whether it is “pretty” or not—then the child will immediately open up and stop thinking, “What will people think of me if I say this?” It will happen to them naturally.
