Normally, we work during the day and not at night. The reward from the side of judgment is “You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets” (Deuteronomy 24:15).

This implies that when one feels that he is working with himself, this is already called “day,” meaning that he is already being called from above and he is told, “See how far you are from spirituality.” When he completes the work, he receives the real reward, after which he is rewarded with faith.
