422. From Afar the Lord Appeared to Me

“Far” means that there is a difference in the importance between one and the other.
Hence, when a person feels no difference between speaking to a minister or a judge, and when he speaks to the Creator, when he does not consider or discern with whom he speaks or whose law he is uttering, then a person cannot see the Creator, meaning achieve true recognition of the Creator. When he feels the distance and importance that there is to spirituality, then he can come to feel.
