668. In a Place Where Repentants Stand

“In a place where repentants [people who repented] stand, complete righteous cannot stand.”

“Complete righteous” means “right line,” when one learns Torah Lishma [for Her sake], called “bestowing in order to bestow.” “Repentants” means receiving in order to bestow. The act is called reception, meaning moving away, but through the intention, he returns the act to its root. This is called repentance, when he returns to his root. This is Teshuva [repentance], when [the letter] Hey returns to [the letter] Vav.
