770. The Difference between the Soul and the Body

A “soul” is when one receives in order to bestow. A “body” means when he receives only for himself.

A “soul” means that he is receiving in order to bestow, namely the attaining individual, who is regarded as the quality of “body.” By receiving the quality of a soul from the worlds of Kedusha [holiness], he can invert the reception to be in order to bestow. At that time, it can be said that he is receiving from the quality of the soul, since all the things that are said in the upper worlds, and the names, meaning when they have their final form.
