477. What Do You Have in the House?

“What do you have in the house?” “It is forbidden to bless on an empty table.” “The blessing on eating is not present on an empty place” (The ZoharYitro, Item 487).

It is known that “The blessed adheres to the Blessed.” Hence, an empty place is regarded as “cursed.” For this reason, the cursed does not adhere to the Blessed. Hence, when a person asks for his deficiencies, he is called “cursed.” For this reason, one must find within him a place where he has something, meaning he should find within him something for which he can be grateful to the Creator, and on this place the blessing can later come.
