The adornments of the bride are MAN of the lower one that ascends upward. That is, the lower one lacks the Masach [screen] meaning vessels of bestowal, which are called “adornment” with regard to the upper one, for any lower one induces a deficiency in its root.

Concerning the upper one, this is regarded as adornments because the upper one does not feel these deficiencies as such, but rather as adornments on which the upper one extends the upper light for the sake of the lower one. For this reason, the MAN of the souls in Malchut is regarded as “adornments of the bride” on which the light of Hochma [wisdom] is revealed. With respect to the upper one, the light of Hochma is regarded as a decoration and not as a lack, whereas with regard to the lower one, it is regarded as a lack.
