682. Exit and Entry in the Work

Tzeva’ot [hosts/armies] is a connection of two things: Tze [exit/leave] and Ba’ot [coming], which is exit from the work and coming to the work. Through the two of them, the holy name is made, using the word “armies,” since the war is only through two things. In this way we should interpret what King David said, “Go out and stretch out your hands in the battalion…”
