710. Three Generations, Three Lines
Someone who he, his son, and his son’s son achieved the Torah, the Torah never ceases from them, as was said, “will not depart from your mouth,” etc.
We should ask about it, since we see that there are three generations of achievers of the Torah, yet the fourth generation no longer achieves the Torah. By intimation, we should interpret that three generations means three lines, since one who has been rewarded with the middle line is guaranteed that the Torah will not depart from him, since all the cessations he had had were in order to come to the middle line.
