751. Anyone in Whom There Is Fear of Heaven – 2

“Anyone in whom there is fear of heaven.” To achieve fear of heaven is as in “around him it was very stormy.”

What is fear of heaven? It is faith, so he will not sin, meaning self-reception. Afterward, we are rewarded with Dvekut [adhesion], when we are rewarded with the revelation of the secrets of the Torah.

Afterward, there is the quality of fear, when he is cleansed from the perspective of heaven, but the desire of the upper one. This is as in, “All my life I have regretted. Why? Since such was the thought.” This is a degree of fear of heaven, meaning the taste of heaven.
