145. Passion for Knowledge
The passion for knowledge comes to those who act in order to know, who exert themselves and delve as much as they can. These actions give him the passion to know the Torah. By this, a Kli [vessel] forms within him, which is a desire and yearning. However, the knowledge itself comes from above and a person cannot assist the knowledge; he can only assist the Kli through the effort to know.
