The Necessity of Developments

How does one investigate the desire if not by living a full corporeal life?

It is not possible to ignore the fact that we live in this world.  A man needs to married, to work for his living, to be a citizen in all ways. The world is not built in an accidental fashion, and all these environmental conditions were given to us from above on purpose, as necessary for our spiritual development. We received certain conditions in this world, and from them we need to go through the corrections.

Every person, even if he is a Kabbalist, needs to worry that his life will be arranged as is accepted in this world, i.e., to worry for his family, worry for his children, to have a job, to worry about an apartment, to have a pension, to have a vacation, and everything else that he needs. We were given a few hours in the early morning to study the Torah, although we are actually stealing these hours from the hours of nightly sleep, and if it's possible to study also one hour before sleeping, then that's good.  Also Rabash and Baal HaSulam worked for their living, arose early morning to study before working, and in the evening when everyone rests, they studied again.

We don't need to leave all our corporeal issues, but to give importance to each thing.  One shouldn't scorn this life and cut off from it. The soul is the corrected desire to receive which is for the sake of bestowal.  Only if one clarifies this desire can he correct it and receive a soul. How will you clarify this desire if not by living a full corporeal life?

Daily Kabbalah Definition

Definitions in the daily Kabbalah lesson guide a precise, spiritual approach to terms, & disqualify materialized corporeal definitions

Soul

What is "soul" and how do you get one?

The corrected desire to receive, for the sake of bestowal to others, is called, "soul," and before correction a person doesn't have a soul. This means that first a person has to clarify his corrupted desire to receive and try to correct at least a part of it, and then this is called that he receives a soul. This thing is possible only through the environment, when a person is really involved in the events of this life in this world.
