Seeing a Friend as Great

How can I see a friend as being great?

Seeing a friend as great means to see his spark as great to me. Without connecting to his spark, with his point in the heart, I can't reach the goal. Then according to the size of the goal, I need to see the size of the friend. His spark is as important as the goal. I don't need to see his intelligence as great, or his feelings, and not even his spiritual degree as being great.  But it is his spark that I need to bow down to.

If I connect to the spark of another, in this I acquire the entrance to spirituality. I need to connect to the spark and not to the person. The Creator designed it in this way and the clothing of the spark in the vessel is called "friend." He can be a terrible person as far as his character is concerned, but he has within him the spiritual spark, the point in the heart.  And thus it is written, "love covers all transgressions."
